Another young Australian signed up from the NSW Academy, Jamie arrived
at Leeds three years ago with the reputation as one of the most talented
young midfielders, with bags of potential.
So much so that Jamie was wanted internationally by Australia, England
and Scotland, but after much fuss ultimately decided to commit his future
to England.
Despite his age, he was on the fringes of the first team squad in 1999/2000
and was included in the squad that travelled up to Middlesbrough when
injuries ruled out several regulars.
He eventually made his first team debut last season, eventually making
four starts under ex-boss Terry Venables. He did not though feature under
Peter Reid or Eddie Gray last season.
Jamie is a regular for the reserves.
